Amarins Wierdsma, violin
Edward Liddall, piano
Amarins Wierdsma and Edward Liddall are both distinguished graduates of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. They were 2017 YCAT finalists at the Wigmore Hall, playing the same Beethoven and Debussy pieces which they will be performing for our Society which had so enraptured the London audience.
Amarins is both a soloist and also first violinist of the London-based Barbican String Quartet. Performing with some well-known European Orchestras, she includes in her repertoire some of the most demanding concertos such as those by Bruch, Bach, Brahms, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and Sibelius.
Edward studied at the Royal College of Music and Kings College Cambridge. He is now pursuing a dual career as soloist and accompanist, and has also given a highly acclaimed performance of the Schumann piano concerto.
